Emerging Brands Wholesale Manager (Temporary Mat-cover)

 

The main responsibilities of this role are to manage and develop the emerging brands (Melvita/Erborian/Le Couvent des Minimes) Wholesale business day-to-day across all accounts and regions in the UK.

 

Taking strategic direction from the Brand Manager this role will be responsible for the commercial success of the brands in the Wholesale environment, as well as the presentation of the brands and the training of any sales staff or partners.

 

The first point of contact between the Brands and the buyers/customers, this role is heavily ambassadorial and requires strong relationship building skills. The role will be the line manager for the Sales staff of the Melvita/Erborian/Les Couvent des Minimes doors where there is a counter or assisted selection. 

 

 

Key Responsibilities

 

Sell In

1. Achieve wholesale targets and budget sales figures for the Department              

2.  Develop and maintain good relations with all Head Office Personnel and the Warehouse Team.

3.  Assist the Brand Manager and Group Brands Director in planning strategy, priorities and wholesale / retail targets for the Melvita, Erborian and LCDM accounts, which are to be reviewed monthly.            

4.To plan each Account by sales turnover to ensure the right level of business support is given to achieve the sales plan and strategy.

5. To manage the business in accordance with the Commercial Terms governing the brand partnership, seeking out the best commercial result for our Group.   

 

Sell Out

1. Control and achieve distribution objectives in conjunction with the Sales plan.  

2.  Identify areas of opportunity in conjunction with the Brand Manager in order to plan and develop the right course of action to take with each account.  Likewise, review and monitor poor performance and ensure that an action plan is put in place for consistent improvement. 

3.  Ensure all Accounts have regular and effective in store promotional events in line with the brand marketing calendar and supported by the Marketing and Web Coordinator throughout the year, and monitor results.

4. Work with the Counter Managers and any field support to ensure that the Marketing plan is followed through and that all promotional activity is carried out in accordance with the Company Marketing calendar.

5. Grow and develop the estate by negotiating better selling locations and better customer flow areas within the stores and upgrading the size of the sales area in order to develop and extend the assortment listed in that location.               

6. Ensure that all Accounts are serviced and maintained on a regular basis according to a journey plan agreed with the Brand Manager. This role involves significant travelling to cover at least 2 days per week.

               

 

Brand Building

1. Interview, select and recruit Sales Consultants in accordance with agreed staffing plan levels for Accounts when required             

2. Train, develop and guide our own Sales Consultants and Partner Consultants for each Account to inform them of the brand values and product benefits.                

3. Effectively communicate all Company objectives to Sales Consultants as well as any other relevant colleagues.               

4. Ensure that all Accounts are maintained to the same high standard of presentation, and make recommendations to the Brand Manager for improvements, or give feedback based on the competition.

5. Attend Sales Meetings/Trade Shows and Functions as requested by the company.    

 

 

Administration

1. Arrange strategy meetings with all Accounts and communicate in writing all points raised and discussed and distribute to all relevant colleagues.  
 2. Assist with maintaining the Emerging Brands Wholesale procedures and reporting.

We are looking for a Sales Associate to promote and sell our beautiful products in our flagship account within the John Lewis store on Oxford Circus. - To ensure that personal targets and KPI’s are achieved
- To maintain the highest level of product knowledge
- Fully compliant with Company Policies and Procedures 
- To support all aspects of administration, reporting and Heath & Safety monitoring
- To support all aspects of Visual Merchandising compliance and general day-to-day management

What do we look for?

- Previous experience in a similar retail/department store position. Experience within the beauty industry is highly desirable.
- Proven ability to work and make decisions independently 
- A successful background in selling and customer service
- A beauty or skincare qualification will be a bonus
- Flexibility and dependability

Melvita have a fantastic new opportunity for a passionate, energetic and confident Sales Associate to introduce & sell our beautiful Melvita products to existing & new customers in Marks & Spencer locations across the UK. We have 5 locations available!

 

Marble Arch (London), Cheshire Oaks, Metrocentre (Newcastle), Camberley, Hedge End
