HONEY & LIFE
Did you know? Melvita means Honey (MEL) and Life (VITA) in Latin Melvita started from a passion for bees and their invaluable role as sentinels of nature. Bees are facing a major environmental crisis with colonies declining year on year due the increasing usage of insecticides, of uncontrolled urbanisation or pollution. Today, Melvita does its share by: Supporting organic agriculture throughout the world by formulating beauty products with organic ingredients. Raising awareness of the bee crisis. Using organic Honey, organic Royal Jelly, Pollen and Propolis not only for their cosmetic properties but also to promote this agriculture.

Honey bees form nectar into honey by regurgitating and storing it as a food source in wax honeycombs inside the beehive. Melvita only uses the excess honey so as not to endanger the bee colony. |
Pollen is collected then transformed from a fine dust into balls by bees at the entrance of the hive. |
Propolis is a resinous substance collected by bees from tree buds and sap to seal the beehive. |
Royal Jelly is produced by bees to feed new larvae bees and the Queen. |
