St John's Wort Oil

St John's Wort Oil is actively soothing and calming for the skin. Made by macerating the small flowers, harvested around the summer solstice, in Olive Oil this oil has been prized since antiquity for treating irritated or sensitive skin.

Many people use this effective oil in the treatment of sunburn as it's effective at calming and rejuvenating the skin. We would recommend that it is only applied after sun exposure, and not before, as the natural presence of hypericin, which gives the oil its red colour, is photo-sensitive and should not be exposed to UV.
