Dehydration
Dehydrated skin is characterised by a lack of water moisture in the skin but not necessarily oil moisture (like dry skin). The skin shows dehydration lines and can appear irritated because your skin's natural barrier is compromised letting moisture escape.
You can identify how hydrated your skin is by simply gently pinching the skin on the cheekbone and observing how quickly it ‘pings’ back. Look out for creams with higher water content and humectant ingredients such as hyaluronic acid , glycerin or squalane that help lock water into the skin.
